Eric Church Preaching With Fire and Brimstone in His Latest Single

The battle rages on as country artists demand that country music return to its roots and leading that charge is none other than the Chief. Eric Church released a new single titled Stick That in Your Country Song and he’s not holding back.

We got a bunch of artists who have lost their way and care more about making it to the top of the charts, rather than singing country music. Country music is about life and the issues we all face. Yet artists are shying away from that, either out of fear of being blacklisted or fading into obscurity. Eric wants these people to get a grip and shoutout the people that need a voice.

Going all the way back to the earlier days of Country music, artists always sang from their soul. Their songs spoke to so many of us because we were able to relate to them. They gave a voice to those that needed it most and helped lead the charge for the issues in their day. I’m reminded of Loretta Lynn’s The Pill, a song about birth control that helped bring attention to ideas such as “My Body, My Choice”. We do not necessarily get to hear songs like that anymore especially when we need them more now than ever.

If you have not been paying attention there has been a lot going on in the news recently and a lot of these people do not have a voice. It’s about time we start giving them that privilege and stand up against the injustices as the Greats did. It’s time we Stick that in Your Country Song.

Eric never fails to preach some truth through his music. We better listen to him because the man knows what he’s talking about.
